Amy McAllister entered this world with her heart beating to the sound of music. Her first and favorite childhood memory is of being the youngest member of her church choir. For as long as she can remember, Amy has been sharing her heart and music with all who will listen. She keeps her childhood dream of being a "diamond in a rhinestone world" just like Dolly Parton alive, by shining bright and inspiring others to shine their brightest too.
If you know Amy, you've most definitely heard her say, "bigger than any dream we can dream, is the one God dreams for us." She feels she is living true to His dream and purpose for her and is having the time of her life, cherishing every single part of the journey.
Amy's album title 'Building Reasons And Dreams' honors the memory of her brother Brad. It features songs from the heart, that offer healing for the soul. Through her songwriting and music, particularly songs 'My Angel,' and 'Borrowed Angels,' Amy brings healing to those who have lost loved ones. With songs 'Shoot For The Moon,' ‘Building Reasons And Dreams,’ and ‘Dance Baby Girl,’ Amy inspires us to never give up, even as the tides of depression rise. She shows us hope, and belief in our dreams. Her music brings healing to the many hurting souls around the world and is the perfect gift for anyone who struggles with depression, thoughts of suicide, or in need of encouragement to live their biggest dreams. The lyrics are powerful, written for all ages and walks of life, showing that Amy’s true dream is to see everyone reach their biggest dreams while shining like the star they were born to be.
Upon the completion of her first album, Amy shows us she never stops, and became a host on the most-listened-to radio show in Southern Utah, as well as hosting ‘The DJ and Amy’ radio show. Then, television found her and she became a host on “The Edge of Southern Utah”. Amy loves to inspire others through radio and television so much, don't be surprised if you see her on a major network one day.
Given her dedication to "paying it forward," Amy reaches out whenever and wherever possible, making a difference worldwide, by supporting many philanthropic causes and charities.
One of her favorites, is honoring those who make the ultimate sacrifice. Performing for the Wall That Heals Opening Ceremonies, Amy will never forget the feeling of her hero Veteran's in uniform rising to their feet, rocking out, and singing along to "Let Freedom Rock", the song she wrote to honor them. Her hit song “Shoot for the Moon” was the theme song used at the “Embracing Our Heroes National Guard send off” to honor the military wives and children.
Amy is also passionate about spreading awareness and raising money for autism. She opened for Jefferson Starship, as well as Hall and Oates at the The Rock For Autism with recording artist Mark Leland.
Last year Amy was honored to pay tribute to the legendary Dr Ralph Stanley by singing his version of 'This Little Light of Mine' on the Grand Ole Opry stage. She will tell you it is one of the most spiritual experiences of her career as she felt the presence of many angels in the wings that night.
Amy still feels as though she is dreaming when she talks about performing her hit song 'My Angel' in honor of her brother Brad, at the 2018 Josie Music Awards in Dollywood. She is in awe at how the small girl who prayed to "bless the world just like Dolly someday" was standing on Dolly's own Celebrity Theater Stage being honored with the first ever Josie Music Award for 'Inspirational Song of the Year.'
2019 is already full of blessings for Amy with the launch of her non-profit ‘Building Reasons And Dreams’, producing her second album, and becoming a spokes-model for Confidently Ready by Josie Passantino. 'You Don't Have To Walk On Water' is currently moving up the Christian Music Charts and 'Shoot for the Moon’ already at top ten on Power Source Music Charts will be released into mainstream country radio.
Amy is on her way to the 2019 Josie Music Awards and can hardly wait for all the magical things happening on September 21st in Dollywood. She is up for seven awards including The Fan Choice, Gospel/Christian/Inspirational (Artist of The Year, Vocalist of The Year, and Entertainer of The Year), Song Of The Year – “You Don’t Have To Walk On Water”, Amy McAllister; Writers Amy McAllister and Corey Lee Barker, Female Video Of The Year “JMA Experience Of My Angel”, Modern Country, and Female Rising Star Vocalist of The Year.
